The mission of the Northern California U14 Pre Academy is to provide the highest level of competition in Northern California while providing the best and most thorough overall soccer development of the young elite soccer player. The program focuses on the technical, tactical, mental and physical traits necessary to be successful in the game at the highest level of competition.
The Northern California U14 Pre Academy is made up of eligible players based on age and ability. The five US Soccer Development Academies of Northern California provide two player pools within each organization to participate in this league. Those clubs include:




Players from any club can participate in this program without leaving their current youth club. Players playing in the U14 Pre Academy are still able to fulfill all league, tournament and state cup opportunities with their current clubs while participating with one of the above academy clubs in the Northern California U14 Pre Academy program. In case of conflict, Club activities will have precedence.
Training and games will take place beginning in December 2011 and running through March 2012. There will be significant breaks in competition to allow for all players to fulfill current commitments to all current club teams.
U14 Pre-Academy Philosophy: The underlying principle of the Northern California U14 pre Academy is player development. Coaches and teams will focus on providing a competitive environment that creates a multitude of soccer situations for players. The game is the best teacher and it is a focus that all games and trainings provide a structure that encourages player learning and development with regard to the four pillars of soccer.
