Rettig and Akeman Sign Letters of Intent for College Soccer

Caitlin Akeman and Graceanne Rettig, longtime teammates and friends in the Breakers soccer club, have each signed a letter of intent to play college soccer. Caitlin is a senior at Harbor High School and Graceanne is a senior at Aptos High. They just concluded an extremely successful final year with the Breakers, having won the Norcal Regional Academy League, The West Regional tournament and placing 3rd in the National Cup. SCC Breakers 99G clinch 1st in CYSA Division 1 Silver Elite league On Sunday, the Santa Cruz County Breakers Under 12 girls clinched first place in the CYSA Division 1 Silver Elite league. Led by father-daughter coaching team, Heidi and Art Romswinckel-Guise, the team of seventeen girls from across the county played clubs from around the Bay Area this year and wrapped their undefeated season with a 1-0 win over Mountain View-Los Altos.
